Wedding Cinematography Sweepstakes Winners Wed at Jardin de Buis!
Recently featured on H&H weddings, our sweepstakes winners Jason & Louis’ wedding at Jardin de Buis in New Jersey was nothing short of chic and sentimental!
When we heard their Game of Thrones-inspired proposal story from Jason, we already knew this would be a wedding full of personality…
Louis originally wanted to propose to me in the Icelandic cave where Jon Snow and Ygritte went skinny dipping on the beloved HBO series, Game of Thrones. However, it was overrun by Spanish tourists. Louis took a second chance at the remote waterfall of Aldeyarfoss after off-roading on a dirt road for two hours – through sheep, horse and lava fields. Before I could snap another photo of the roaring falls, Louis proposed to me on one knee. To my delight I exclaimed, “OH REALLY?!” and accepted Louis’s proposal with tears of glee.
With a mutual love for autumn and style mixed with a dash of whimsy, Jason and Louis decided on New Jersey’s Jardin de Buis to set the perfect backdrop for their wedding festivities. Previously used by Ralph Lauren and Anthropologie for photoshoots and more, Jardin de Buis offered a dreamy setting that the happy couple embraced to combine with vibrant hues of purple.
Of course, we asked the happy couple to impart some advice for those planning upcoming weddings, and, naturally, we wholly agree with what they had to say:
Consider hiring a videographer! We were lucky that we won a videographer through a wedding sweepstake. We were so glad we have a video of our big day as it captured a different and slightly richer dimension than traditional photography could. There’s something more intimate in hearing each other’s voices and seeing our loved ones in motion. Plus, it’s the closest that we’ll ever look like movie stars!
We were so thrilled to be a part of Jason and Louis’ beautiful and emotional day of love at Jardin de Buis and hope you fell in love with their wedding as much as we did! Congratulations again!
