Meet The Foundry Wedding Sweepstakes Winners
It seems like we’ve done a handful of The Foundry weddings in Long Island City already, but each wedding we’ve had the honor of filming there has been uniquely beautiful and memorable. Not too long ago, we found ourselves back at that gorgeous industrial chic venue once again with our most recent sweepstakes winners – Heejin and Bryan!
“My favorite moment was when Heejin read her vows, just because they were so heartfelt and I was a little taken aback by them. Heejin’s not always as candid with her feelings as it was that moment and it made me feel very warm inside.” – Bryan
Among weathered brick walls and ivy-clad facades, they incorporated both traditional Korean culture and modern elements into their ceremony, and then concluding their celebration with a lively reception inside the spacious raw interior of the venue. Thoughtful designs were implemented by their wedding planner from Tall & Small Events and captured by photographer City Love Photography.
After we finished crafting Heejin and Bryan’s film, we sat down with them and asked what they thought. Heejin told us that they had just gotten their wedding photos back, and while they were beautiful, it also made her realize how important having a wedding video was. “It added something different from still photography,” she admitted.
“In retrospect, even though we wouldn’t have known it, it would have been a big regret in some sense had we not gotten video,” added Bryan. “You don’t have a lot of occasions, if any, besides your wedding where virtually all of the people you care about are in one room.”
