Blending Polish Traditions Into This Inside Weddings NYC Feature

Wedding Videography by NST Pictures; Wedding Photography by Maya Myers Photography

We are beyond ecstatic to share that our wedding videography team has been featured on Inside Weddings! It’s like winning an Oscar in the world of wedding films, and we’re ready to pop the champagne and relive every magical moment of Stephanie “Stevie” and Christian dazzling wedding near Central Park in New York City.

A Love Story to Rival the Best Rom-Coms

These two lovebirds met in college and built a friendship that blossomed into something truly spectacular by their senior year. Fast forward to a dreamy proposal on Whidbey Island, and it was clear these two were destined for a fairy tale ending. Naturally, they chose the city that saw the beginning of their romance, New York City, to be the backdrop of their “I dos.” Talk about coming full circle!

A Ceremony Straight Out of a Dream

Stevie, looking like an absolute vision in her glamorous gown, clutched a bouquet adorned with photo charms of her late father – a touching tribute that had us all reaching for the tissues. And the cherry on top? Her grandmother, or babcia (for our non-Polish friends), walked her down the aisle. Cue the waterworks!

A Inside Weddings Reception to Remember

After the tear-jerking ceremony, it was time to party in style at a luxurious hotel near Central Park. The ballroom, decked out in vibrant spring colors against a pristine white backdrop, was a visual feast. Round and rectangular tables, oval-backed chairs, and blooms that seemed to whisper, “Let’s celebrate!” set the scene for a night to remember. Oh, and did we mention the colorful taper candles? Pure magic.

Traditions That Tug at Your Heartstrings

One of the standout moments of the evening was the beautiful nod to Stevie’s Polish heritage. The groom’s mother, along with Stevie’s babcia, surprised the newlyweds with a traditional bread-and-salt blessing. Stevie’s polka dance with her grandfather was an absolute blast, and toasting “na zdrowie” with homemade Polish moonshine? And just when you thought it couldn’t get any sweeter, Stevie’s Polish relatives serenaded the couple with “Sto Lat,” wishing them a hundred years of happiness. It was such a heartfelt and personal touch – we were seriously swooning.

The first dance to “Wonderful Tonight” by Eric Clapton was a scene straight out of a romance novel, complete with a live event painter capturing the magic on canvas. Let’s just say it really got the party started. The dance floor, lit up with the couple’s wedding monogram, was packed with guests dancing the night away and creating memories that will last a lifetime.

An After-Party for the Ages

But wait, the fun didn’t stop there! An epic after-party kept the celebration alive, featuring late-night treats from Shake Shack, Joe’s Pizza, and Ample Hills Creamery. Stevie even managed two dress changes – because why not? The night brings laughter, love, and a whole lot of dancing. It was one of those nights you never want to end, and it seems like every guest agreed.
