Beautiful New York Military Wedding
Get ready to get emotional!
We love this traditional military wedding at the Ritz Carlton Battery Park in Manhattan, NY. Larissa and Nicholas were married on December 21, 2013, and they chose to incorporate the Coast Guard traditions in their ceremony. We love that Larissa was hidden when she first entered the church, and the officers stepped aside to reveal her. The lace detail on her one-shouldered mermaid gown was stunning, and we love the jewelry and headpiece that elegantly accented her entire look. When the couple exited the church, the officers performed the traditional Arch of the Swords ceremony.
After the ceremony, the couple took advantage of the gorgeous sunset during their photo session by the water. The Statue of Liberty in the distance made the background even more picturesque!
The reception decor was simply elegant, with white flowers throughout the room. We love the couple’s monogrammed formal cake, and what Star Wars fan wouldn’t love a Yoda cake? Keeping in the Coast Guard tradition, the bride and groom cut their cakes with a sword!
