Boston Library Wedding Video: Epitome of Elegance
Katie and Kent were married at the Boston Public Library, and we’re still reminiscing about their breathtaking and classy celebration everyday. The epitome of elegance, their wedding is forever memorialized by their wedding video and by the ever-so-talented Brumley & Wells Photography!
Katie and Kent met five years ago when she graduated art school in New York City and started her job at the same advertising agency where he worked. They ended up collaborating on some of the same projects for a few years and sparks began flying between them. Their unconditional love for each other shone brightly and extended to their friends and family at their beautiful late summer wedding.
Their Boston Wedding Reception Venue
A lot of thought went into choosing the Boston Public Library as their wedding venue. The historic building is located near where Katie’s family grew up, and it also nodded at Kent’s childhood memories – his mother was an elementary school librarian and naturally, he spent his childhood surrounded by books. The building’s classic architecture, reminiscent of a Renaissance cloister, set a romantic backdrop to the wedding video and photographs.
Elegant Bridal Look
Katie works as a senior art director, so it seemed only fitting for her to want to design her own wedding dress with Elizabeth Rosbottom, a local business in New York City that specializes in custom designing bridal gowns and evening wear. Keeping the design a secret from Kent only added to the giddy anticipation of their wedding day.
A Mix of Northern and Southern Details
The elegant black-tie wedding embraced Katie’s New England background and Kent’s Southern traditions with help from rich warm tones in the floral arrangements that beautifully contrasted with the light ethereal shades of the bridesmaids’ dresses.
Sophisticated Calligraphy and Decor
The rich tones of the flowers further complemented stylishly with the classic color palette of white, gold, and black of the stationery by Swiss Cottage Designs and tasteful tabletop decor at the reception party. Given that both Katie and Kent work in the advertising field where aesthetics play a key role, it comes as no surprise that fine details were abound in their wedding. The beautiful lettering by Anne Robin Calligraphy was done to perfection, and the wedding cake by I Dream of Jeanne Cakes was minimalist yet chic with its colorful floral adornments. From start to finish, Katie and Kent’s wedding was the quintessential classic and elegant event full of love, laughter, and, of course, style.
