Meet Sugar Branch Events! Based in Orange County in beautiful Southern California, Sugar Branch Events is dedicated to planning and designing beautiful, fun and unique weddings that reflect each bride and groom’s personality and style with an emphasis on fine, awe-inspiring details. We recently had the pleasure of chatting with Britt, an Event Planner from Sugar Branch Events, so read on to see what she has to say!
1. What made you decide to go into wedding planning/design?
My partner Lindsay wanted to start a business and immediately thought of wedding planning, but the thought of doing it alone was intimidating! She knew my first job at the age of 15 was working in a banquet hall and that I’d always wanted to get back into the industry, so together we started Sugar Branch Events. We are creative, detail oriented, and have a focus on customer service, which is a great combination of skills for planning exquisite events. Being part of the biggest day in a couple’s life is such an honor, and we get emotional every time!
2. What is your favorite part of the planning process?
Cake tasting, of course! But really, I love when the client and I are on a roll when it comes to the little creative branding details. When they start to pinpoint their ideas so we can develop and finalize the personal touches that make their wedding unique to the two of them, I can tell they’re having fun.
3. Where do you pull your inspiration from when you help plan a wedding?
The personalities and interests of the couple are so important, and I love making sure they are reflected in every aspect of the wedding. That’s how your wedding becomes unique to you and gives your guests a one-of-a-kind experience.
4. What advice do you have for couples in the initial stages of wedding planning?
Take it one day at a time, one step at a time. Prioritizing your To Do list is key to enjoying the planning process and not getting overwhelmed with the little things that can wait.
5. What’s the number one reason you recommend hiring a wedding planner?
If you want to enjoy a stress-free wedding day, you need to have one point person to manage and troubleshoot on your behalf. If your planner has been with you every step of the way, he or she will know all the details and be your best advocate. A good planner is an extension of the couple and has their best interest in mind when it comes to executing a successful event.
