Meet Lindsay Quinn

National Marketing Manager

1.  What song always gets you on the dance floor?

Party in the USA… I know, it’s ridic but it never gets old to me.

2. Within your area of expertise at NST, what is your favorite part of your job?

I started my career as a copywriter so I’ve always enjoyed the writing and advertising aspects of my job. I really like blogging and writing helpful email marketing articles. I feel like my experience as a bride was pretty typical—I bought into the concept behind the diamond, planning the big wedding, stressing over silly things and I even almost skipped hiring a videographer (which I would have totally regretted!)—so I feel like I have a lot to share that can help make our couples’ wedding planning experience a little easier.

3. Sweet or Salty?

Yes.

4.  Quick! You have one hour to make dinner for the Obama family! What do you do?

Brussel sprouts, sautéd in olive oil, maple syrup and bacon bits and beg my husband to grill steaks–I’m horrible at cooking meat unless it’s a crock pot. Watermelon, Arnold Palmers, margaritas, vanilla blueberry cake with cream cheese icing. Summer food is THE BEST kind of food!!!

5. If you could reincarnate yourself as anyone, who would you be?

I think I’d still be me. Or maybe me in 1969. Does that count?

6.  Favorite Disney movie?

Little Mermaid // Pocahontas

7. What’s something weird you do when you’re alone?

I’m pretty much never alone….but I guess I do a lot of interpretive dance.

8. What are you binge watching right now?

Garfunkle & Oats and Broad City… I guess that kind of says a lot about me haha

9. What do you think is the most important thing for couples to remember when planning their wedding?

Don’t spend too much effort on material things. Details are fun and they make for artsy photos but they really aren’t important. It’s rare that you get all of the people you love in one place so be present in the moment and events leading up to the wedding and focus on the amazing people in your life who are making the effort to support you.

10. What’s one of your favorite memories from working at NST?

Going to Japan for the international manager meeting was an incredible experience that I will never forget. Trying to learn Japanese made for a lot of laughs as well as trying what seemed like hundreds of new foods. We had a really good time getting creative while cooking our own monjya, which was this gooey wheat and meat stuff that you cook on a big skillet and eat away at the blob with your own mini shovel. It sounds strange but it was so delish!
