How did you make your way to working at NST Pictures?
I’ve always had a creative spirit so I knew the career path I wanted to take would be in the Arts or Events. I was lucky enough to be apart of both. I started off my career at a Wedding photography & videography studio in NYC straight out of college. I learned so much about the industry and about myself and I soon realized I wanted to focus more on the consultant aspect of my position. After some relentless manifestation – the universe answered and an opening at NST Pictures came along. The rest was history!
Why did you choose the wedding industry?
It’s a celebration of love & joining of two families – it’s always an honor to be able to help bring my client’s vision to life.
What do you like about working at NST Pictures?
NST is a tight knit group of strong and creative women with so much respect and admiration for one another. We are all driven by goals and purpose – it’s inspiring to be a part of this team.
What is your favorite part of your job as one of NST’s Wedding Consultants?
Learning about my clients unique love story and watching those details unfold on film.
For example: Joker & Harley cake toppers? – Hilarious! Taco truck at the end of the night to curve hunger pains from dancing up a storm? – I’ll take two please!
People are so different & special in their own right; I enjoy catching those details on video and seeing how they’ve succeeded in making a wedding their own.
You’ve coordinated hundreds of weddings (literally!) so what wedding videography advice do you have for couples?
Try to allow the Cinematographer 10-15 minutes after prep and photoshoot to get some thoughtful movement & details footage of the couple. Cinematography always calls for a bit more set up time than Photography, especially when filming the ceremony and speeches during the reception – You can’t rush perfection so always be sure to plan accordingly.
Outside of NST, what other artistic passions do you pursue?
Ceramics! I would want to have a studio in my home one day.
You’re more than just a wedding expert though, so to get to know you better, tell us about your ideal day off of work!
Depends on my mood! I love a full shopping day with mom, lazy Sunday catching up on TV shows with my pup or enjoying the beach with close friends. However, they usually all end the same way…with a tasty meal!
