A Memorable Proposal
The Knot highlighted the unique love story of Steph and Melissa, two soulmates who embarked on a summer vacation to Cape Cod in 2021, each secretly ready with a ring to propose to the other. The picturesque sunset stroll unfolded with a touch of humor and heartfelt emotion, as Melissa, overwhelmed with nerves, forgot to ask the pivotal question, leaving Steph in tears of joy, mistakenly thinking she was getting dumped. Little did they know, this was just the beginning of a beautifully unconventional journey towards their dream wedding.
The Knot Wedding Dream Team
Steph and Melissa knew assembling a talented team of vendors was crucial. Enter Jason Rhee of Rheefined Company, whom they connected with during an influencer trip for The Knot wedding in Guatemala. The serendipity continued when Jason revealed his desire to expand to New York City and work with The McKittrick Hotel, the very venue Steph had dreamt of. The stars aligned, and what once seemed out of reach became their perfect wedding location.
A Celebration Full of Detail for The Knot Wedding
The wedding was a celebration of love, diversity, and personalization. The couple coined the term ‘bridesmates‘ for their bridal party, embracing inclusivity for men, women, and non-binary friends.
Romantic Reception Visuals
The reception was a visual feast, with long tables adorned with black chairs, gold flatware, and lush greenery from Something Borrowed Blooms. String lights created a romantic, low-lit atmosphere, and the newlyweds danced the night away with their loved ones. Pronoun buttons, cupcakes featuring the Progress Pride Flag, and signature cocktails named after their cats added a touch of uniqueness to the affair.
