Meet Brklyn View Photography!

And our Vendor Interview Series continue today! Meet Jainé of Brklyn View Photography, a fine-art wedding photography vendor based in – you’ve guessed it! – Brooklyn, New York, who’s been featured on Martha Stewart Weddings, Style Me Pretty, The Knot, Green Wedding Shoes, and many more wedding publications. 1.What inspired you to go into wedding photography?

I was asked by one of my closest friends to photograph her cocktail hour during her destination wedding in California. My family and friends always liked my photography and were encouraging me to open my own business. After I photographed her cocktail hour,  I realized that I had so much fun taking the photos that I had my “lightbulb” moment. I wondered if I could do this for a living and could I be successful at it? This began my career in wedding photography. A few months later, I second-shot my first wedding then started shooting weddings on my own. I never dreamed I could have a career that fulfilled my artist side as well as desire to run my own small business. It’s literally a dream come true!

2. What do you look forward to the most at every wedding?

I look forward to spending the day with my wonderful couple and being part of their incredible wedding day.

3. What do you do to understand a couple’s vision and bring it to life in the photos?

My couples trust me to tell their love story from start to finish so I pay attention to all the little details they’ve spent months picking out and putting together.

4. What advice do you have for couples in their search for a wedding photographer?

I believe that the most important thing is to connect with your wedding photographer on a personal level. You are going to be spending so much time before, during and after your wedding together so making sure you get along is super important.

5. What would you say has been your favorite part about being a wedding photographer?

My absolute favorite part is meeting so many wonderful couples whom I would have never met if I wasn’t a wedding photographer. Everyone has a story to tell and I love being apart of that!
