Fall in Love With This Vogue Wedding At Central Park Zoo

Wedding Videography by NST Pictures; Wedding Photography by Samm Blake

We had the honor of capturing this multicultural wedding featured in Vogue Weddings India. Love found its perfect setting in the unique scenery of Central Park Zoo. The beauty editor bride had an eye for elegance and it showed in the wedding day details. From the exquisite marigold garland animal topiaries greeting guests to a dynamic reception outfit change, this infamous venue transformed into an effortlessly timeless spring wedding for Dianna and Herman.

In speaking with Vogue Weddings, Dianna commented, “Crossing Fifth Avenue and 57th Street—arguably one of the busiest intersections in the city—while wearing my wedding dress is one of those once-in-a-lifetime, only-in-New-York moments I’ll never forget.”

A New York City Love Story

New York City played a vital role in Dianna and Herman’s love story–starting with a date at the Metropolitan Museum of Art to a proposal with the Statue of Liberty over the horizon. “We’ve been together for over eleven years but the beautiful thing is that while we’ve both changed since we first met, we haven’t drifted apart but evolved together,” Dianna said. It made sense that the couple landed on Central Park Zoo as their destination to tie the knot: timeless yet playful. Not to mention the adorable sea lions being the pinnacle of cocktail hour!

A Cultural Fusion in This Vogue Weddings’ Details

Another aspect of this that we loved was capturing all of the colorful multicultural details of this wedding. The vibrant yellow aisle carpet paired with the circular floral stage done by Birch Event Design fits the venue beautifully. As well as the exquisite stationery done for the save the dates and wedding invitations by Casa Felix.

Further Dianna remarked, “Like our relationship, we wanted the wedding to represent a beautiful blend of our cultures” which included a religious ceremony as well as a Western wedding ceremony. The reception was a continuation of the gorgeous attention to detail from the handcrafted tablecloths from Jaipur to the fire-red chairs, multicolor floral centerpieces, and stunning marigold-covered ceiling. Also the couple was surprised by a performance from the NYC Bhangra dance troupe.

Luxury Vogue Weddings Fashion and Makeup

Not only did the decor fuse Dianna and Herman’s cultures, but so did the couple’s wedding. For the ceremony, Dianna wanted something unlike anything she had ever worn before. Dramatic sleeves and a white ballgown silhouette were a must. Her look is complete with a diamond collar necklace from Beekman New York and light blue satin Manolo Blahnik heels.

Undoubtably, we love a good outfit change! Dianna did not disappoint with her red reception gown from Ahanthem by Reena and gold jewelry gifted by her mother-in-law. Herman wore a double-breasted tuxedo from Suit Supply and Christian Louboutin loafers.

The couple’s wedding photos are an absolute spectacle with the photography done by Samm Blake. Additionally, Dianna called upon close friend and celebrity makeup artist, Daniel Martin, who also did Meghan Markle’s makeup look for her wedding day. Dianna mentions, “Daniel uses makeup to enhance, and not mask, and his close collaborator Tommy Buckett is an incredible hairstylist. He kept me smiling all day long as he gave me the high-shine, voluminous waves of my dreams.”

We are honored to be featured by Vogue Weddings and to be a part of Dianna and Herman’s beautiful wedding celebration!
