Wedding Video Sweepstakes Winners Wed at The W Loft in Brooklyn

Piazza San Marco, Venize, Italy – It was a sunny day with birds in the sky and strains of a violin in the background. And then, “Do you want to get married in New York with me?”

Elodie and Bertrand, natives of Paris, entered our wedding film sweepstakes and won a full videography package to capture their dream destination wedding in Brooklyn at The W Loft! A blend of their cultures, their wedding was vibrant as it was romantic with the New York City skyline behind them as they stood on that rooftop to exchange their vows in French.

“If you have the budget, go for it! It is the best way to have a memory of the best moments of your day. Hire a videographer with experience and tell them what style you like,” encourages Elodie when asked about her thoughts on a wedding videographer in general.

As for additional advice she has for other couples planning their wedding? “Do something personal, something that is related to your personalities that will reflect your love story! Keep it authentic and simple,” she says. “Budget everything realistically. Use every digital resource you have to find the best affordable vendors and to buy wedding-related stuff. I planned 100% of my wedding online!” It’s definitely no easy feat to plan a NYC wedding when you’re living in Paris, but having a French-speaking planner such as New York Paris Connection certainly helped things a little.

“Don’t make your whole life about your wedding during the planning months. Don’t forget to breathe and have other projects in mind: No wedding blues after the big day!” she adds.
