Stunning Sunset New York Country Club Wedding
Our #1 Reason to Watch this New York Country Club Wedding Video
Ian and Yuliya have an undeniable connection. You can see it in the way that they can hardly handle more than a few inches away from each other during their wedding day–and I freaking love that! They always look like they can’t wait to kiss each other in the most endearing way. Add in a cotton-candy sunset sky and you have my heart!
Versatile Wedding Dress with Two Different Looks
Yuliya’s strapless gown had me second guessing whether she wore two dresses on her big day. However, this is just one very versatile wedding dress! I love how she added the lace bodice overlay for her ceremony. The off-the-shoulder scallop lace style reminds us of another classic wedding at Loeb Boathouse in Central Park. Yuliya showed off her ballgown and cathedral veil during her photo session with Ian in a lush field.
During her reception, Yuliya removed the lace top to reveal a structured, strapless bodice and thin rhinestone belt. Her large flowy skirt is bustled in a few places, one being just below her hip, in the front. I don’t think I have ever seen that before but I absolutely love how chic it looks!
Yuliya keeps the classic vibe going with a sleek low bun wedding hairstyle and gorgeous rhinestone dangle earrings. Ian follows suit, literally, with a black tux and matching bow tie. Their look ties perfectly with their New York Country Club wedding.
Vows with a Bit of a Twist
During Yuliya and Ian’s church ceremony, the two share their vows. Ian starts off with the traditional ones but soon veers into something that makes everyone crack a smile: “I, Ian, take you, Yuliya, for richer, for poorer, in gain, in loss, in sickness and in health, through wrinkles and racing around in our wheelchairs–I will love you.”
I love Ian’s face when he sees Yuliya walking down the aisle and she says her vows. It’s so earnest and you just know that he can’t wait to say “I do.”
Love Under a Cotton-Candy Sunset Sky
Yuliya and Ian tied the knot at Skaneateles Country Club, near Syracuse, New York. The grounds are absolutely stunning. Cocktail hour was outside of the venue. The guests watched as boats sailed by while enjoying wine and light bites. The club nestles up to Skaneateles Lake’s rocky shore where the couple took some of their photos. The sky was drenched in pinks and oranges that night setting an unbelievable backdrop for their pictures and wedding video.
How to Get Sun-Soaked Wedding Photos
You probably already know that your wedding day timeline is one of the most important pieces to planning a successful wedding. In this case, Yuliya and Ian’s was absolutely perfect, as you can see from our video and the photos by Miramar Photography.
Their photo session started just before the golden hour in the field. From there, the couple moved to a groomed grassy area in closer to the water as the hazy sun made its way down, leaving the couple soaked in warm light. Moments after the sun went down, Yuliya and Ian shared a few final moments, right at the water’s edge, as the sky put on a beautiful, colorful show.
To achieve this phenomenon, speak with your planner, photographer and/or videographer about your timeline. Check the weather.com for last year’s sunset time and plan your entire day around that. After all, making your photos and video the best they can be should be your priority, since they will be what you’ll keep forever to remember your big day!
