A Comfortable Santa Ana Wedding Celebration
Our #1 Reason to Watch this Santa Ana Wedding Video
There’s something about this Santa Ana wedding video, this venue and this couple. From the strum of the first chord and the first scene, you already get a sense that Kalie and Jacob’s wedding is going to be relaxed, understated and totally beautiful. This no-stress wedding day will inspire you to put down the wedding planning checklist and focus in on what really matters for your big day: the love.
You Know She’s a Cool Chick when the Groom is Wearing Sneakers
The half up, half down wedding hairstyle is one of my all time faves and Kallie’s is no exception. I love how the lose, twisted braids keep her soft curls out of her face–so important for your wedding day since you’ll be flashing your smile all day long!
Kalie’s simple gown sets the scene and adds just a bit of glam to the day. Her strapless, sweetheart gown gives fits her figure perfectly, while the tulle skirt adds a romantic element. I love how the dress also has rhinestone trim at her waist, which is mirrored on the bracelet on her wrist. Don’t miss the sparkly shoes with the sweet little bows!
Just in case you didn’t get the laid-back vibe of these two yet, Jacob’s crisp white Chuck Taylor’s should help it sink in. He pairs them with a gray suit and a blue gingham tie (wow, you guys were really ahead of the trend). Don’t miss the three ring bearers and their matching gingham bow ties!
Will You Love Me and Keep Me Through Every Season?
Did I mention how much I love this wedding video song? The line above is from the lyrics. It’s called “Close Your Eyes” by Silver Trees. You may not have heard it before, but that’s the fun of it! It just has a nice, comfortable feeling, which totally fits with the vibe of Kalie and Jacob’s wedding day.
I just about melted during the Father of the Groom speech when Jacob’s dad referred to his grown son as his “baby boy.” Maybe you gotta be a parent to get the chills but let’s just say it made my heart flutter a bit and my life flash before my eyes when I heard that. All of a sudden, I realized that my baby boy might be a groom some day! Awwww! But seriously, there’s nothing like a dad opening up about how proud he is of his son or daughter. I can never get enough!
Understated and Affordable Wedding Decor
Did you see those table numbers? Exposed brick is a coveted interior design feature right now and it’s all over their California wedding venue–The Estate on Second. Kalie and Jacob took that to the next level by bringing in distressed bricks with calligraphy numbers on them for their table numbers. In our humble opinions, that’s just genius. Not only does it fit in seamlessly with the event design but the whole project probably cost them $5! So smart!
These two skipped the grand centerpieces and opted for white flowers in milk glass vases and succulent arrangements with white candles of all sizes. Especially with the minimalism movement, this simple wedding table set up is on point.
Despite what you might be reading in wedding magazines, you don’t need much to throw a good party and it’s obvious when you see Kalie and Jacob’s guests enjoying every moment of the dancefloor.
Planning a Relaxed Wedding
You don’t have to go overboard to have an amazing wedding. Kalie and Jacob kept it very simple in almost every aspect of the day: They got married and had the reception in the same Santa Ana wedding venue. They had their photo session right outside. They took it easy on the decor. They read traditional vows.
However, when you watch this video, their wedding doesn’t feel the least bit run-of-the-mill. You have to remember: People are coming to your wedding to see and celebrate you two. If you’re getting overwhelmed just thinking about wedding planning and the glam life isn’t your scene, listen to your heart and keep it simple. You’ll be glad when your wedding day rolls around and it just feels like “you.”
